An interdenominational coalition of churches advancing the mission of Jesus across Atlantic Canada
OUR REASON
A Hunger:
We have observed a hunger for greater unity and community from pastors and churches in our region.
A Need:
We no longer live in Christendom. In order to accomplish the mission Christ has given us, we need missional cooperation.
A Blessing:
Based on Psalm 133 and John 17, we believe there is a blessing of effectiveness God bestows when His people are in relational unity.
๏ Atlantic Kingdom Alliance is an interdenominational coalition of churches advancing the mission of Jesus across Atlantic Canada.
๏ The AKA is the response to a hunger and a need that positions us to receive a blessing.
๏ It is intentionally formalizing some existing relational networks between churches and leaders so we can expand that community wider.
OUR MISSION

Relationship
We will work to foster a meaningful, organic community of church leaders in Atlantic Canada. We think that looks like:
Communications - To help us stay in touch and up-to-speed with each other.
Connection Events - Where pastors can get in a room, get to know each other, pray together, and encourage each other.
Circles - Where pastors are intentionally in ongoing community together to pray for, support, and encourage one another.
Resource
We will help churches gain access to the stuff they need to advance the mission. We think this will look like:
Expertise - Through a team of local peer coaches sharing their deep expertise in specific areas of ministry.
Money - Through direct grants from one church to another for initiatives that advance the mission.
Partnership
We will help churches explore and establish ongoing mission-furthering partnerships. We think this will look like:
Ministry Partnerships - Where two or more churches come together to offer a ministry in their community (such as a youth group or Alpha or GriefShare) or to share ministry space.
Permanent Partnerships - Where two or more churches merge together to form a single new church for the sake or reaching their community.
Legacy Partnerships - Where one church chooses to be adopted into another church or to close and entrust their resources to a thriving church.

Membership
Associated
It means you embrace the mission and culture of the AKA and that you publicly identify as a member of the Alliance so that other churches and leaders know that you are available to them.
Available
Means being intentional about participating in the community of the Alliance both ongoing and at events and doing what you can to contribute to the work of the Alliance with finances, expertise, or partnership.
